Our Community Volunteer Center, located in Historic Downtown Flemington, is the central hub of volunteer and community activities for United Way of Hunterdon County. It is the headquarters for our most visible programs such as Financial Wellness, Holiday Hands, Thriving Communities, Tools 4 School, and Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA).
The Community Volunteer Center is more than a place where things get done. It is a place where things get changed. The place where families come to reinforce a culture of volunteerism, a place where neighbors come to lend a hand to neighbors in need. This is a place where the community comes together to make a difference, help ALICE, and build a stronger community. The United Way of Hunterdon County Community Volunteer Center is an unprecedented example of how you don’t have to be big to have a huge impact.
The Volunteer Center has served as a place that supports community response/recovery efforts following a disaster. Partnering with the Department of Public Health and ShopRite, we’ve set up Covid pop-up clinics and supported donation management of PPE for the OEM (Office of Emergency Management.
The Community Volunteer Center is also available as a meeting venue for an array of community organizations. To learn more about this space and to learn how to reserve it for your nonprofit meeting, contact us.
